Do you have a new sump and a gasket for it?

It's actually not a difficult job as such, just bloody messy and awkward.

You may be able to bodge it but generally the advice is to renew the gasket.

gaskets arent a lot of money from a motor factors really. fit new instead of having leaks forever.

edit, doesnt apply to c20xe's. they leak no matter what shitty engines.

Also, don't use silicone if you bodge it. It isn't compatible with oil and isn't worth a carrot. For the price of proper gasket sealer you can buy the gasket.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
