Corsa B/C 12v or 1.2 16v.
Nothing gone wrong with mine in nearly 40k miles apart from the clutch which was just due to old age.

3i_gaz had a zetec s a while ago, responded well to simple mods, handled much better than my old sport, felt better made albeit the dash is a little funny but i think theres less bad stigma around the ford aswell

No wonder if it had 80k and was £400. Get yourself a good, looked after, well maintained one and it'll be fine.

XE can't be that bad on fuel. My LET is amazing on fuel.
250mile round trip in that and in my 1.1 Metro I used the same amount of fuel. Fact.

That's another biggy. I wouldn't be considering a Zetec S Fiesta unless it was absolutely mint, original and not owned by some boy racer, due to their engine issues.
