Hi,
Just looking for a bit of advice really - thinking of buying a wee corsa C SRI (1.4) on a 55 plate with 23k on it for the winter commute to work.... the guy is wanting £6k for it - How much is it actually worth? I thought in the region of £4 - 5k....
Going to see it later so any advice on what to look for etc would be appreciated also,
Cheers folks,

£6k sounds reasonable to me, my missus got hers a year ago for around that with similar mileage.

Balls, I thought £6k was a tad steep, I'll try to knock him down anyway but oh well, if thats the going rate.....
Cheers mate,

I'd say £4-5k would be fair.

Steep tbh. I sold my 2.5 year old 1.8 SRI for 6K. It was mint and only had 17K on the clock.
PS that was when 2nd hand prices were fair. Now it's a buyers market and prices are low.

If anything, its a sellers market. Not enough used stock to satisfy demand.

I don't agree Byron, maybe for 2nd hand cars in dealerships but I've noticed a hell of a lot of private car sale ads being around for weeks on end and the sellers often lowering the prices. Quite a few non sales on forums etc... leading people to p/x and take a hit on the dealer offering.
