rite im focussing on my engine bay abit now and i currently have a sealed crome induction kit,crome bonnet lifters and crome strut brace.but the thing is i have tried to clean the engine bay before with the hose and £1 engine degresser LOL and then let the engine tick over till ompletly dry(didnt cover nothing up)and it went like this

when i try and clean it again at the weekend whot degresser do i need and what do i cover up,and also why did it go like that before(them dryed on white water marks) thanks help very appreciated.

mine went like that too looked nice until i started the engine up and it all dried white 
i used autoglym engine and machine cleaner too, so not exactly pikey stuff.

Usually only way to get rid of it if it keeps turning white is acid and that's certainly not something I'd suggest to a "newbie"
Try Gunk - never had that problem on my old B when I used that.
You are brushing the stuff before rinsing too aren't you?

no all i done was brougt some cheap spray on engine degresser sprayed it on the hole engine and rised of with the hose car ran shit after thought as it got water in the alternater and stuff

Well for starters you need to agitate whatever you spray on otherwise it won't be that effective and is also more likely to cause the spotting.
I tend to only recommend gunk for off the shelf decent stuff.
Spray or brush on, then agitate with a brush then rinse off.
