i had a sportex on mine kurt, no problems whatsoever.
lad 2 doors down owns my old corsa now and it's still going strong after 3 years.

+1 That's the same backbox as I have, it's better quality than Sportex and sounds better too imo.
Only the tip is stainless, the rest of it is mild steel. The sound is still deep all the same though.

ive got an ashley system aswel really good exhast, if mine went today i'd buy another. something like £160 for a cat back, buy a black tip one

I bought mine from Chris Astley's website, it was £10 cheaper than everywhere else. £75 it was, can't remember how much delivery was but I don't think it was loads. Less than a tenner iirc.

davestaker i just looked on chris atley motosport website and the have no janspeed exhaust on the,
shaunmods is your astley back box the same as i listed and wats it sound like,do u think im better of to save up my mones and get a race tube aswell as just the back box.i really wont one that has a nice deep note to it.

Sounds like you're getting a bit mixed up mate, I have the Ashley and Shaun has a Sportex. I bought my Ashley from Chris Astley, not a Janspeed one.
The Ashley definitely has a deep note 
Not sure what black tail means, could be something to do with it being painted black.

Why not just concentrate on passing your test? as your cars already pretty modded for someone who is still learning? also is there any point fitting a 'full system' to a 1.2 8v, probably not. Just stay with what your currently have which sounds ok or change it for just a back box if you really want to.

iirc, black tip backboxes are for off road use only when i enquired a couple years ago.
