next year i will be changing from the civic to something a little more civilised and these 2 were my main 2 options. plans are some BBS wheels and lowering it and having a fairly tidy car for when i finish Uni and have to go to interviews etc, the civic doesn't give the right image, so pros and cons of both? pics if possible of tidy examples?

I dont see the point in selling your car just cause you think it would ruin your chances of a job but if I had to choose i'd have the Bora just to be a bit different.

Sold my Corsa for the same reasons as you Lee Wish i had of just got a 306D Turbo now and run it into the ground. I'd have had two cars and still had money in the bank.

However, you will find that most of your collegues including you boss are nut cases anyway

a4, much more classy.

no one looks at your car when you go for a job anyway, stop being a gay and man up.

I was also thinking this.

gonna swap mine for a standard astra gsi next year

If people in the place hear you mumbling down the road in a boy racer car, it doesn't give off the right image.

I like VAG cars so I'm fine with them but it will be totally different to what you have now and I'm not sure it'll be your thing!

That S4 I detailed is popping up all over the place on here now!

Depends on budget - Id rather a decent spec Bora over a worse spec / older A4.

However if you can get an S4 then I'd opt for that all the way!

How are they going to think you're any less of a boy racer if you turn up in a civic with lairy alloys or a golf or bora that looks like one of those posted above?

Any potential interviewers that are going to say no because of the car you drive (wtf) aren't going to care if it's more 'upmarket'. A modified car is a modified car in these peoples' eyes.

Unless you're keeping it standard, in which case the pictures above are irrelevant.

the a4 hardly looks modified imo, just tidy. its the practical side of things aswell, civic is poo on long journeys and munches fuel. and as skylined says If people in the place hear you mumbling down the road in a boy racer car, it doesn't give off the right image.

What a ridiculous idea (IMO)

Park around the corner if you don't want to be heard.

I've only ever been for like 3 interviews, but none of the times has what I drive ever come into it, it's completely irrelevant.
