Not me dont worry, my Aunty wasnt paying attention and went into the back of someone. It was a 20mph+ immpact ona stationary vehicle.
Hers is a 2002/52 Astra G 2.2 convertible, according to garage report it has a bent chassis leg.
The insurance company want to repair it
Is this A: Safe?!
B: can you contest the descision?
Seems odd to repair a car that is 8years old not worth much, with a bent chassis leg?!
Maybe thats the norm, ive not had much esxperience but i just think it sounds a bit odd

it is perfectly safe matey, you can repair anypart of a car, its just weather its cost effective. For instance at my last place we had a 599 which had a complete new rear end up to the rear fire wall/fuel tank, repair was around £80k but as thats less than 50% of the car it repaired.
As long as the correct repair procedures are followed ofcourse.

At the end of the day if she feels the car isnt safe, she can take it back to where it was done and question them
