VIDEO OF FIRST START

Dropped the engine off with Philip2 Last weekend.

Picked it up today after a full rebuild and head ported and polished.

Built it back up ready to back in the car with it's new colour scheme to match the car better this time.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Quality. Phillip2's work looks very good & i've heard nothing but good stories about him, might give him a shout in the near future.

how much for a fully rebuilt xe, i know its probably hard to tell with out looking as some parts will need replacing, some wont etc but a rough price for the average rebuild would be great.

cheers

I had the full lot, new everything minus cam belt kit and head bolts which i supplied myself.

The block was honed and piston rings done.

Head pressure tested then polished and ported.

6 day turn around and the bill was around £600

Craig - I was going to do it myself but didn't have a lot of the tools and contacts to get the head skimmed etc. (I'm an aircraft electrician btw)

I've got a vid of the first start, I'll get it on soon
