There is like a link rod accross 4 flaps or something which comes off. I haven't done one myself but we have done a few at work now.

Yep, swirl flap motors are shite and not nice to do. EGR valve's are also poor and the mod for them never works! Is it on 80k as that would make it out of warranty?

Yeah as Joe said, something to do with a rod with 4 flaps on it that open and close depending on how much the throttle is open i think. Think that in itself is around £800 for Vauxhall to do it. Quite common i think.

Cambelt is 4 years or 100k according to the service book Joe.

Just make sure of that, I think we had one snap soon after 80k and we spoke to Vauxhall and they recommended bringing it forward to 80k intervals.

Yeah Ford quoted 5 years or 100k on my Fiesta, it snapped at 90k and 4 years.
