the interiour wont affect the top speed, just the rate it gets to that speed

your be limited by the gearbox, which is somewear around the 117mph mark if you could get it to the limiter, im expecting it to be about 110mph ?

Parkers says 112 mph.

Ignore what your speedo says. It'll be over 120.

Mine did 130 on the clocks but only think it was doing about 115 to 120 in all honesty, shortly after that it would struggle to get over 100 lol replaced a load of sensors and it feels like it did before to drive

Or even better..

Stick 170+kg of audio in your car
Remove the rear seats
Go to Brunters, do a top speed run, and achieve a MASSIVE 101.6mph....

Bangin...

And people asked me why I took it out when the 2.0 went in.

James, yours wasn't standard though, but working it out on speed Vs RPM, I wonder what that would equate to? thats got to be around the 125-130mp region..?

That day was brilliant at Brunters.

My clocks were reading 133mph flat out down there, got back 117mph top speed

The gearbox limiters at just over 125MPH, well that was my 1.4 sport bouncing off the limiter in 5th.

Ian and his brand new Astra Coupe, that he'd already disconnected the speedo on.

I don't think we had any 1.4's really on that day, just Luke's gearbox, but that was on a 1.6 engine.
