i had one with the x18xe1 engine in.only main problem with them is the ecu's tend to break as they are bolted to the engine which causes them to get hot.power wise they are around the same power as a 1.6 corsa sport but with abit more comfort

i had the 1.8 16v cdx and it was quick for a 1.8, good cars imo, im after the sri next i think the are about 120 bhp yeah about the same as the 1.6 sport lower down and then pull away once you get a bit of speed

I've got one and its fine for what I need at the minute. I wouldn't say it was quick, but its got enough power to carry you along at a reasonable pace. Mines on just over 101000 miles now and is smooth as anything... You get a decent level of equipment in them as well, mines got air con, sunroof, traction control etc. etc.

If you had the choice of going for a 1.8 sri corsa C or 1.8 sri mk4 astra which on would be the best purchase?

there is a 1.8 sri astra mk4 near me for sale foe £3695 on a 03 with around 43k on it.

it depends what kind of car you want because there is a size differance between the both i perfer small cars so i would go for the corsa c 1.8 sri ( what i have already got)

i would think the corsa sri will be quicker as it is smaller and lighter

i have a mate with a 1.8 sxi, its a nice car. performance wise it was alittle quicker than my 1.6 sport corsa. it uses alot of fuel around town, but got some nice figures going to PVS and back down the motorway.

None of the Astra G's had the 140bhp 1.8 16v VVT engine, that was only fitted to the Vectra C's and the Astra H.

I don't need a bigger car really but they just crossed my mind while i was looking through auto trader.

Most of my journeys are quite short round the doors ect at the moment but iv always fancied the 1.8 corsa C.

i sat in a C the other day when i was looking at one but never took it for a test drive due to the bodywork been too tatty for the price they were wanting for it.

The C felt alot bigger compared to my B tbh.
