vauxhall vxr8 has a 6 speed manual box and nothing stops that from going into 1st?
the majority of people are able to follow the up gear sequence of 1,2,3,4,5,6 so investment in assistance to stop people going into 1st doesnt seem necessary. imho

tbf, its probably not even got vtec, was it nic on here that was saying the drag guys don't use it because it doesn't mix well with high boost applications?

I accidentally shifted into 1st doing about 50 once...first gear only goes up to 30mph on my car.
So my corsa lets me shift into first when im moving..

Got some grip in those tires to endo like that, normally they just lock up and slide!
Ive done 4th to 3rd before in my old corsa gsi, spat a lot of smoke out and barked at me so i stuck it in 5th quickly and it was fine. Sold it to my mate a month later and he did the same thing but wasnt quick enough with the clutch and it snapped the timing belt, fucked all 16 valves and hammered the head and pistons to pieces.

I went from 5th to 1st coming off the A2 on my driving test. Realised once my face nearly kissed the steering wheel whilst lifting the clutch though, somehow still passed?
