According to here - http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod267.html - it is cheapest, however I would say try and find one second hand. If you're anything like half the people on here you'll upgrade after 3/4 months so spend as little as possible early on

I doubt id want to upgrade mate ive never owned a dslr before and its not like id be doing it professionaly like some people so couldnt justify spending a massive amount on a camera.

Where as £250-£300 on a camera which can take very good piks and would last me many years to come I can justify spending.

do you not have any local high street camera shops where you could negotiate a better deal? even if it's just to get a bigger memory card or a cheapish bag thrown in? most shops round here were more than happy to throw freebies at me when i was inquiring last month.

I think my refurb D40x cost about £300. It may as well have been sold to me as a brand new camera because there was not a mark on it.
