What difference does say a 4-1 have over a 4-2-1 except the obvious arrangement difference?

Why choose one over the other?

ones for mid rang torque and one helps top end can't remember which is which though

wont you get more preformance out of the 4-1 as its all down to how fast you can get the exhaust gasses out or am i talking shit

thats it the 4-1 is for better top end performance and the 4-2-1 is for better mid range torque
