maplin do a few good kits, otherwise as already said, homebase, B&Q and other hardware stores etc do them, most kits come with all u need and u just plug into a video recorder... i got a B&Q one on the front of the house on a time-lapse video recorder, works a treat!

Moved into my flat and on first night I was there 2 neds were at my tyre. Lucky I saw them or god knows wot would have happened. Lucky I didnt catch them or I'd be doin time now. Also damaged my mates car which was parked nxt 2 mine. Neds were dressed in black with hoods up so dont know if cctv would deter them as the little nobs hide their faces well. Lucky 4 them or id b out lookin for them. Welcome 2 the city i was told. Think I will put my steelies on 4 a while

some insurance companies only take CCTV and alarm systems into account if they are installed by accredited companies, so nice & cheap as DIY may sound, you need to check you're not just chukcing money at a deterrant that wont actually deter anyone
