Looking for a car for a girl, 4 or 5k, she likes fiat 500's (I know they are more than 5k) and yaris's etc.

I know what cars are out there but any personal experience, I don't want to be trawlling forums for every single possible car.

Deano

I wouldn't let her buy a Ka, I might want to drive it at some point.

Tigra could be a good shout but she specified not a corsa so might be too similar.

I like swifts, good shout.

Think a mini would probably be out of budget, has to be as new as possible, her last corsa was an R reg and had 20k miles so she has funny ideas about what high mileage is.

Since she likes Yaris', then a Yaris T Sport.

Cheap to insure
Handle well (they feel top heavy giving it a bit of stick but still holds the road)
Brake well
Go well enough (as quick as a 1.6 Sport anyway since they are 103bhp)
The gearbox is literally the best I've ever used
As reliable as a mountain
Safe as houses

And of course they look girly as hell You can get one for under £4k with decent mileage and it'll run for years and years!

My own opinion of ka's would stop me ever letting her buy one.

I think i'll have to go and have a look at a Yaris eck, a half decent one would please me when I had to drive it but she'll most likely not care.

Insurance shouldn't be too much of an issue on whatever it is.

I've been in a new Micra. Was only a small powered one, seemed to go well enough. As well built as anything these days tbh.

either of my cars. Yaris T-sport or 1.7 puma.

both great cars, nice to drive. Puma is in a different league though.

new micra's aren't too good imo.

Puma's are too old, she'll never ever notice the handling or what size engine it has either, if it looks good and, well I don't know what else girls look for
