Wheels on the car were badly kerbed etc so was time for a refurb, Set about firstly getting the car on axle stands and removing the wheels

I then took a few pics of the wheels before they were refurbed

Damage

Then took a few before pictures of the arches, hubs and calipers

I then gave the hubs a quick sand down then masked off the car so as not to get overspray on the paint

Then after a coat of silver paint

Caliper was given a coat of hammerite blue

Overspray on the disc was also sanded off.

Rear masked for the same treatment apologies for the silly big watermarks

Painted inc caliper

Process was then repeated on the other side of the car and then left to dry for a day.

Next day i cracked on with the arches, used an Autosmart degreaser and various brushes to rub it in, Would of ideally got a toothbrush and a sponge for next time i do this kind of thing.

Anyway front arch after

Still not 100% in the tighter areas but much better

Wheels then came back from being refurbed, They were done by Rim Refurb in foxbar in paisley who did an amazing job as per, Put the wheels back on, gave the car a quick wash, Polished it by hand with Autoglym Super Resin Polish, Cleaned the tailpipe with wire wool and megs metal cleaner, glass done with Autoglym Glass Cleaner and tyres dressed with Autoglym Rubber Cleaner

Anyway the after pics

Calipers

I think the wheels look much much better in the new colour!

Must just be the pics, everything was painted apart from a wee tie bar type thing.

As I said in the thread about which colour to refurb them, the anthracite looks excellent - assuming it is anthracite? Pic 2nd from the bottom makes it look like it's got a bit of a brown tint but I'm thinking it might be brake dust. Makes the difference between it being just another 3 series IMO. Brakes and hubs are a good job but I can imagine the hubs at least just getting manky in the next 2 weeks

£140 with you taking/ putting the tyres on and off Mark?
