I used a jigsaw, worked fine

I'd recommend not doing it with the shelf in the car though, the bits get EVERYWHERE

I've got a half decent secret shelf or whatever you call them in the Corsa I'm wanting rid of as well. Shame you're so far.

i used a hole-saw, probably about 40mm, and did a few holes and trimmed it up with a stanly knife obviously draw out the hole you want to cut first with the template that comes with the speakers

I dont think Sam will have had a template, just draw round the speaker

If you draw around the speaker as in the outside edge of it and cut that bit out they'll fall right through. You want to cut it out a bit small but the same shape so that you've got parcel shelf to sit the speakers on and put screws into.
