My driving ban is up tommorrow, but DVLA/Police still have my licence. I was told at court that i would recieve a letter from the DVLA telling me what to do, but i didnt.
Do i have to apply for a new one and pay 25pounds? or will they send me my old one back or do i have to ring up to get it back or what? 
Anyone had a ban before that can help?

You should have received that letter, and it would have explained to you that you will have been able to apply for your licence probably more then 3 weeks ago, but until you do, you won't be legal to drive.
You will have to apply to get it back, and pay whatever it costs. I can't remember how much it was when i did it.

I got a 3 month ban, and i was allowed to re-apply for it 3 weeks before the ban was up.
I guess that doesn't apply to you then

i know this as i had to pay for mine back last week

I wouldn't be pissed off at the £65.
I'd be more pissed off that theoretically you could have been back on the road tomorrow, but in reality you might have to wait another week or two til the DVLA send out your new licence.

im just comein up to the end of my ban. to get my licence back i have to pay 65 quid to get my paper n card part of licence back they are a bunch of arseholes but i shouldnt of lost it in first place lol

You can still drive when you ban is up even tho you dont have your licence back.Ring them up to confirm it tho.

also depending if your ordered to do your tests again, you may have to do your theory again and your pratical. theory can be took as soon as you have provisional back but obviously practical can't be took until ban is ip. i only know this because my ban is up next week  (wasn't actually my fault i got banned though )

because police or judges dont like young drivers well i got banned because a pissed up bloke walked straight in front of my car and i couldn't do anything but hit him, and cops figured that somehow it was my fault
