Ive got a 2000 X-Reg Corsa Club (last of line corsa b shape) 1.0 12v 3 cylinder, I havnt really done any engine mods as its pointless, just filter, exhaust and some new spark plugs.

Now when self timing my 0-60 time I always get between 14.5 and 16.3 seconds, book figure is 19.9 seconds, surely that is wrong!? Would my engine be a corsa c engine as its the end run of corsa b's? It will also keep with a 1.2 0-60 which books at 16.6 seconds....so im just curious as to whether other 1.0 owners have timed there 0-60 and what figures have the got? I know its not accurate, but Im sure its faster then 19.9 seconds, by that time im doing about 75!

Well I know some people say that the ECU is different between corsa b and c 1.0's, but maybe it isnt? As the book figures for the corsa c say 16 seconds, which is about right id say.

Your speedo reads 60 but your not really going that fast. When they are tested they are done with proper equipement in proper conditions.

i've seen your car go though and it looks quicker than a 0-6 in 19seconds car! LOL

My 1.4 engine used to do 0-65 in 7 seconds using a stopwatch. Id say stopwatchs arent the most accurate way of measuring stuff

the speedo's are always out, you need to get it timed properly to see what time u really get to 60....................

although i think 12v's are quicker than 1.2 8v's anyway................ still sh*t slow tho
