Hello Ladies and Gents,

I thought I'd post up aload of answers to questions we get every year regarding coming to the event.

How much does it cost on the gate?

If you're turning up for Saturday only, it will be £18 per person on the gate.

If you're turning up on Sunday only, it will be £18 per person on the gate

If you're turning up for the whole weekend (including Friday and Saturday Camping) it will be £40 per person on the gate. Under 14's get in free with an accompanying adult.

What time does the show open?

Gates are open to weekend ticket holders from 5pm on Friday, June 5th. Gates will be open from 9am on Saturday and Sunday for day ticket holders.

Are there cash points on site?

Yes there is known to be one or two but I'd personally take cash.

Are credit cards accepted on the gate?

Yes.

Run What ya brung

Can I take a passenger on the 1/4 mile drag strip?

No

Are there any rules or regulations that I need to be aware of?

Yes, read http://www.rwyb.co.uk/guides.php

Do I need a licence to take my car on the 1/4 mile drag strip?

Yes, you will be required to show your full UK (or other EU state) driving licence (both parts if it is a paper licence).

My licence is away at the DVLA/Police. Can I bring a photocopy?

No, a full original driving licence needs to be seen when signing on.

How do I get to Santa Pod?

The address is...

Santa Pod Raceway, Airfield Road, Podington
Wellingborough, Northants NN29 7XA

I believe santa Pod is sign posted from junctions 14 (South) and 15 (North) on the M1. More detailed information can be found on http://www.performancevauxhallshow.co.uk/directions.html

Camping

Remember if you're camping that Santa Pod DO NOT ALLOW GLASS BOTTLES ONSITE! So if you are bringing them I reccomend you either empty them into plastic bottles or hide them really well. Every year there are stories of people getting caught out at the gate and having all their drinks removed.

BBQ's are allowed

PVS can either be blazing sunshine or wet as an otters pocket so make sure you know the weather situation before leaving and you are prepared! Sun cream if its going to be hot or wellies if its going to be wet.

Other Shows (not PVS) have raised security fears when it comes to people's belongings, if you have anything nice on you that someone might try and nick such as cash, electronics, your birds gold rings etc I would reccomend you lock them in your car at night!

The cleaning facilities at Santa Pod are not the best, so be prepared with baby wipes and nice loo roll!

CorsaSport will be present over the whole weekend so if you have any problems come find one of us and we'll do our best! We normally have a flag up near our camper van so we should be easy enough to find.

Thats it for now..

Time, I'd say between 7am and 8am, earlier the better and I really want everyone there before its open to the public at 9am.

We are on the tarmac, if you put your show pass in your window you will be directed to us.

I believe we are keeping cars on the camping area and moving onto the show stand every day (saturday and sunday), at the end of saturday we move back to the camping. I THINK. I cant be 100% sure because we've never done a weekend PVS.
