I feel we are in need of some more interesting posts to liven up MATCH DAY a bit, so copied this from another forum

So, what's been the biggest suprise for you this season on or off the field, are you suprised with how your team have played/where they have finished, or the fact that shearer left the cosy motd office for the newcastle managers job?

For me it's how much progression liverpool have made, and the difference in our style since the real madrid game.

Other than that, how well everton have done with such a small squad!

I was just reading this exact thread on RAWK

The Keane Saga was a bit of a suprise, and agreed about the style of our play suddenly changing after the Madrid game.

Hull pre-xmas was a suprise. Newcastle potentially going down is too.

Stoke fullstop - after the first day of the season some bookies paid out against bets that they would be relegated this season. To have had all of the negative commentary and reports but still finished mid table shows very strong resilience to the media etc

Can't argue with Stoke really, mid-table finish for a team like Stoke, been a major suprise for me.

fulham this season, massive improvement on last season almost going down for the last month of season to challenging for europa league this year

stokes second half of season has been very good, looked like relegation around december, mid table finish is decent

hull's start of season was a big surprise but that has just gone downhill

man city isn't really a surprise, just the term too many cooks spoil the broth comes to mind

Stoke ending up where they have. Pretty respectable finsish, I know theres a game to play but they're more than safe.

Hull up in 3rd then dramatically crashing down to 17th

Not surprised where Newcastle are, just surprised its taken this long for it to happen!

Fulham have completley changed things around, they spent the best part of last season in the relegation zone.

Spurs and Blackburn to a degree, I thought they were doomed.

From a United point of view, I wasn't expecting Rafael to walk in to the team like he has, and Welbeck and Macheda to a deree too.

I'm surprised that Rangers have managed to get back to top of the league with one game left when in December it looked as if Celtic would cruise to four in a row.

I'm also surprised at Newcastles predicament, and how Arsenal have managed to secure fourth despite being so poor for large periods

I knew NUFC were fucking shit. I didn't realise we'd be relegation material shit.

Fingers crossed Ashley is axed to death soon.

Fulham have surprised me - fair play to Hodgson.

Hull doing so well first half of the season.

Ronaldo scoring as many as he has (didn't expect him to find as much form after his inhury)

Liverpool being so close behind united, and being above chelsea.

Newcastle!

How poor spurs did pre redknapp

How good spurs were post redknapp

Being sued for £20m is working out?

Your owner going bankrupt is working out?

Your wage bill being higher than the GDP of most of the Top 10 countries on Earth is working out?

As a few others have said, would have to be Stoke for me, especially against some of the bigger teams.

They done well for their 1st season in the top flight for some time, especially after lots of people were quick to say they would head straight back down.

Hopefully they will carry on like this next season.

1st surprise - signing Ronaldo.
2nd surprise - Ronaldo showing he is back, and not just just playing well, but totally mutilating defenders like he used to.
3rd surprise - Dentinho and Lulinha staying with Corinthians and not getting snapped up to a European team.

I swear Lulinha has been piss poor since he got all the media hype. If I remain correct he had a good U17's tourno and now can't sometimes even make the bench ?
