not going to say to much but last nyt,me in my xe and a type r and swift with a type r lump fitted was caught or apprently caught over 140mph.they have no proof,all they kept saying was my speedo was reading 145mph and we couldnt catch you.i swear i was only doing 70/75mph they didnt give us any tickets and said a summons will be coming through the post for your court date.
can they do it like this? they didnt have any blues and 2's on.
by the time i see them i was parked up with the other 2.
just need some advice realy as im not to sure whats going on

I am sure they have to read you your rights and then provide you with a NIP if they plan to take you to court. TBH wouldnt worry think they where just trying to shit you up/get you to slip up.

thats what i was thinking,but in my 4years of driving this is my first offence apart from the moped days.i thought they had to give me a ticket etc.unless i watch to much trafic cops on tv.lol

they read me my rights etc but didnt provide me with anything

was there car capable of 145mph?
have they got a video on the dash?
you'd think for that sort of speed you'd be instantly arrested?
did you see there police badges, are they really coppers?

Yeah lets have the real story, what speed were you really doing in your 150BHP XE Corsa racing a Swift with a Type R engine fitted.
If I used to do 85 in a 1.2 Corsa, you were going quicker

yes my car is caple of that speed on a private road,pow my xe is more than 150.
no video dash
yeh had a run in with them before but not for a traffic offence.
they were in a t5
it is are word against theres.

nah mate defo only around 70/75mph.plus i couldnt tell you evern if i was as my clock is only a 140 clock.

If you were doing 145mph, you'll get banned for a minimum of a year, end of.
If not, they have no proof so dont worry.

Had this once with a mate in his XE Nova. Some copper saw us proper flying round some roads caught up with us and said he would get summons through the post. Nothing happened.

Well since he read you your rights, i think he has two weeks to provide a NIP. If so he must have some proof that you were speeding i.e. a calibrated speedo. If you get you NIP then you will get your cort summons which they have 6 months to get you

145mph, and he couldn't catch an XE in a T5.....
Hmmmmm somethings not right here..... Thats impossible to start with.
145mph, ironically unless your running big bhp, and was over 6700rpm limiter on the F20 box, you were not doing over 140, let alone more.........

You've jut got to wait and see, but i'd want to see some evidence.
Next up, is it taxed as a 2.0 16v?
Next argument in court would be that the fastest model of Corsa done 121mph (C16XE GSi), so its it physically impossible to go 20+mph over the cars top speed???? depends if your legal or not, and if you want to lie to the courts
