Does anyone know where i can find a guide to convert from a 1.0 12v to a 1.6 16v?

same as any other conversion (so im told by a friend whos done plenty of xe conversion on the 1.0 12vs)

just need to extend the ecu as on the 1.4/1.6s etc the ecu is in the drivers footwell, but on the 1.0s there in the engine bay..

Nope all the mpi fuel pumps are identical.

so its literally just ecu thats needs swapping, (apart from the engine itself)

i have heard the fuel pump needs changing before as it is set up for the 3 cyclinders not the 4.

do a search in help zone or start a thread there as it is better placed there!

looks hard to start with but when you get into it its ok
the 1.0l loom is part of the car loom and the 1.6 is seperate, you'll need to match up all the colours off the 9 pin plug with the ones going to the old ecu, the red/blue wire needs to go to the back of the fuse box not to the red blue on the car loom, everything else is pretty simple, get a wiring diagram, infact i have one here from the one i did if you want it.
oh yeah you dont need to swap fuel pumps

All MPI pumps are EXACTLY the same.

its really only the wiring im worried about, im pretty handy with a spanner so its just that really.

clocks need changing too as the 12v clocks wont read correct on a 4 cylinder motor
