hi guys, another crashed thread.
me and james (spankyjames) were driving to see a mate and goin up a road close to my house had some yound 17year old driver come from no where and smashed into me.
now i know this area like the back of my hand and know how dodgy this road is, so im approching a junction, i slow right down due to cars being either side of the road and suddenly the ford Ka comes from nowhere.
he gets out, im pretty angry (as to be expected) and he comes out with i was only doing just over 20mph... into a blind junction with cars either side of the road?? is he stupid.
anyway me and james are pretty sure he's to blame and my mum looked at the pics i got and thinks the same.
so heres some pics i got...what do you think?

this is the one where it looks to be his fault
other side of the road?

damage to my car...broken light, and brackets, bumper brackets, slam panel slightly moved, scratches to wind.....

his car

looks as though, where my cars lowered, the middle of his bumper smashed mine.
i've said to him im happy to go round the insurance and repair myself with cash from him... but am still more than happy to go through insurance with these photos, waiting on him getttin back to me after talking to his parents? will ring him soon or if no joy, give his reg to my insurance company

make sure they know how much roughly it will be before you decide not to go through insurance, they might agree but then not realise how much it will cost them and it soon mounts up.

judging my the damage, really all that needs replacing is the light and mayb bumper, guna get my mate from vauxhall to have a check in the bay to be on the safe side, but sure it isnt to much. but will make sure i get enough mayb bit more

Looks like it's his fault to me. He turned way too wide.
The bent panel at the front of the bay looks like it'd need replacing to me as well. Not that I'm an expert or anything, just wouldn't want one in my car that had been bent back into shape.
Numberwang!

I fucking hate KAs rest assured, his car looks fine on the outside but being R reg it's chassis and components will be rusted to hell.
Sucks though, looks like its totally his fault.

easy fix to the car, nothing majorly structural at all.
Insurance may go 50/50 to be honest.
Looks like you were doing about 10mph going from your skidmarks, so even if he admits to doing 20, I'm still going with a 50/50 decision...

i thinks its totally his fault but depends what insurance say?
i rang him cos he still didnt ring me, he reckons he spoke to his dad and apparently his dad said jus pay for your own repairs, i dont think so... mine would cost a damn site more than his!
i got his address and home number so i can speak to his dad... but debating whether to just go throught the insurance, really dont know what to do, i dont even know whether he spoke to his dad?
turns out a mate of mine knows him and said he's a bit of a nob anyway, and by all accounts his family are minted?
my backs hurting a bit tho lol
will let u know what happens guys

Go through insurance, see what they say.
If you do have to pay for your own repairs it shouldnt be too much.
