My mate has offered me his T reg vauxhall combo for £250. Hes hardly used it the past 6 months, and before it his dad had it and got it resprayed
It has no MOT / tax
I work offshore as a mechanic ( 2 on 3 off) and drive an 2007 ibiza fr 130 and my dad is a farmer so im helping him during the week
Is it worth me buying the van to mot and run myself, as alot of the days durin the week im only using the ibiza for going back and fore to the farm. Would be handier jumpign into the van in dirty clothes / boilersuit (dog included) to go back and fore to farm, and also to the Dingbro (20 miles away) for various tractor / lorry spares
Also, days im not at the farm, I could go away up the country and take the dog for a walk. being a farm dog, she hates walking the streets abd I dont actually stay on the farm
Just trying to weigh up the pros and cons of having a car / van to run

you've virtually answered your own question matey.
from the sounds of it if the van is ok, id go for it. sounds like its essentially more practical than your ibiza
