What do people think of these cheap imprezas are the gong to be money pits?
Looking for another car currently me and the mrs share a golf gti.
But could do with another car will only be used once or twice a week,
And somthing like that could be worthy of a few track days

I don't think I've ever seen an Impreza driven like the owner acutally cares about it.

Amazing cars. Expensive to fix and guzzle like bitches, but it's well worth it. I wouldn't bother if you do a lot of miles between you.
Also, my main gripe when I owned them was nob heads on the road. Every boy and his dog in their saxo/corsa takes it upon themselves to try and validate their egos by sticking to your back bumper and 'having a go'.

Stocker, sorry, I worded that wrong - cheap ones with millions of miles on the clock. Not people like you who spend good money making it look awesome.

I'm gonna buy another you know. Love em May as well with classics being so cheap now. I wouldn't get a Turbo2000 personally tho.

I've had two and both were treated with extreme care

My silver classic had a fortune spent on it in a year of ownership. Sold it to a guy on scoobynet, he had it a month, fitted a boost controller and it went pop £2k rebuild. Bare that in mind.

Mileage would be about 20 a week plus the odd track day. so about 1500 a year max.
What model would people go for, for around 2k?

If you have a tight budget an Impreza Turbo is not for you.

What Dave and Brett said. Servicing and running costs aren't exactly the cheapest Awesome cars though. The noise
