is it actualy safe to do?
because ive heard off some people that it can fry ECU's and stuff

dont want to risk my ECU
what are the chances of it frying it and what are the other things that could happen

i know a few people who have said it can fry your ECU

the paper clip test?

you basicly stick a paper clip into the ecu connection and it will blink a certain amout of times to tell you a code to tell you whats wrong with it

it is no different to plugging in a £300 fault code reader.
