My XSi 16v is going for £1,000 so you could probably find another in the same price band! And you know it makes sense

Thats a wicked price eck, why you selling though? 16v 106 is a good option, kind of want something different though, I like the thought of the MR2 for the RWD and also the fun driving position. Id like to hear what adam b has to say about them.

Because I've decided I want a bike And if I were to have a bike, I'd want something that wasn't as uncomfy, loud, cold to drive about in Just need something like a 1.0 Corsa tbh mate! An MR2 would be a great laugh I'd imagine!

If that had tax and test it would be the perfect thing to bomb into the back of the white piece of shit at 130mph on track and blame the lift off oversteer Otherwise, an XSi 16v would give that a serious beatdown!

Im not sure about saxos or 106s, I mean I had a 106 track car before, I will only miss it. Hence the mr2, being a 2 seater RWD car.

Hi.
Mk1 MR2s are awesome on track. Koni suspension kit and strip all the crap out, which im sure you would do anyway. Much more fun than anything FWD.
Engines are really stong, and revvy, about a 125 bhp from a 1.6 16v is plenty as you would imagine. Gearbox is nice but watch for it popping out of 5th when you come off the trottle. Bodys rust so make sure its solid underneath around the rear arches before parting with any cash otherwise it will cost a fortune to get though another MOT if you want to keep it road legal.

Oh if you strip it and use it for track dont get involved with the mk1 club, they were right nobs with us cos we 'killed' one of 'their' classic cars

I dunno, for 1k could you even get a 1.9, 1.6 will be slower than an mr2 so I can rule that out.
This looks good, only 10 miles from me also...
