For all the hard work, time and effort by NWP in particular Gary for late nights spent on the civic over the last week, couldn't have done it without you. Car really flys now and drives so smooth despite it being on the wrong map.

Unfortunately ive only got crappy phone pictures
All bits to be fitted

Car in bits

and one of it in the unit back together

highly recommended by myself

i didnt have them and no one had done that kind of build before so i had to do some research into the whole lot. most people just spunk out money on a teg engine, i decided to go for the cheaper/fun option

im not puttin it down, just wondering if theres a reason in it. After all, theres no point having a brilliant set up which it appears to be running , worth alot of money, and then scrimping on the basics, i would be much happier spending the extra twine investing my money in a company which invests millions and millions on R+D of their products and how to get the best out of them. basically want to know, whats the reason?

because when running in you recommended to drop the oil after 500 or so miles anyhow, so why spend £100s on decent oil just to drop it? plus ive never had any issues with it in the past. and as said duckhams actually produce it anyhow, and they are a well known for there oils.

well its a bit of a frankenstein and im pretty sure no one has done it before

its a b18c4 bottom end from a 1.8 5 door civic
the head is from a vti (my car) inlet,TB pistons and rods are from an Integra (to give better compression)
the cams are EK9 ones (more aggresive than ohers) an it has a 5m headgasket to again raise the compression a little. all with double valve springs and retainers to keep it at bay and rev past 9.

figures wise im not number hunting but i will see 200bhp, torque unsure but you'll all just say it has non regardless

i did get offered a b20, but with it having no vtec, having to plumb oil lines in, and the walls being generally so thin on the bores i decided it was more hassle than it was worth

Yeah he had issues with that, so decided to break it before it went bang!

Off the top of my head theres

Knife edge crank (never even turned once - brand new)
Eagle rods and pistons
Bike carb setup with manifold
