Im glad you came along as i was just thinking....Linch only has TB's and he's got 150Bhp,So to make 200Bhp surely it cant cost that much.

I already have;
Lightened & Balanced Bottom End
Bored out 0.5mm with new AE Pistons
Ported & Polished Head
Mantzel Inlet

Soon to have;
Cams
Full Exhaust Incl Manifold
TB's
Raised Limiter

Also it will have things to make it Stronger like;
ARP Flywheel,Conrod,Head Stud Bolts
Uprated Engine Mounts
Fully Rebuilt Etc

How much Power will i be running?That must be near the 200 mark is it?

Personally i think 130-140.And if you got the Head Ported & Polished maybe 150

Alll depends on how strong the Engine is weather its been looked after Etc.Plus people will have diffrent Opinions!

when i built my c16xe i had:

inlet, stock derestricted airbox, ported/polished head, 80mm pistons with deeper valve pockets, ashley manifold/system. few other odds n sods. not sure on power. but fair play to it, would piss off 106gti's and the like.

i worked out £3k to get:

tb's, 288 cams(pref newmans as dont rate kent or piper), sbd manifold, pocketed pistons, few other bits i think. so £5k odd is abit steep. but then again i do all my own engine building, porting etc, so save quite abit that way. roughly same as the 184bhp spec or whatever SBD had on their site anyway

and for the comment about if linch's made 150 with just tb's, 200bhp cant be that much dearer....it is. its like you could spend £2-2.5k on building a 200bhp 20xe, but might cost about 6-8k to get 250bhp. not that easy the more power you want.

a taper throttle body kit off us for a 1.6 16v would be £2750, that would see a genuine 155-160bhp.
