... a T reg Golf mk4 (oops ) GTI turbo with 120k on the clock, Jazz Blue, near mint condition really no problems... just the milage puts me off.

Bog standard, 3 owners, service history.. up for 2500 ono.

From a trader so hopefully 3 months warranty.

Whatcha reckon folks? I think it's overpriced but what would be fair? It's close to me which isn't something that happens often you see.

That price seems reasonably fair tbh.If its in very good condition like you say.

P.S its a Mk4 and 120k is only just over average.I wouldnt worry about it tbh.

Ooops my bad lol I knew it was a mk4 really

Does seem tidy but I don't wanna pay loads. I mean my T reg Corsa is in good nick and lower milage but I can't even sell it for half the price of this car lol (1.6 sport)

Just a heads up here but i will be in the market for a Mk4 20vt when my mk3 sells and ive been looking at them all over the net.Prices vary from as low as £1800 right up to £4k+ so it all depends on the condition and SH.

If my car was sold and that was closer to home etc id seriously be interested. If its up for £2500 ono,you could try for maybe £2200-£2300.Jazz blue is a nice colour and not as common as black/silver/red.And its an early model so will have no T/C and the better bottom end and im pretty sure these models have a bigger ported head.

IMO thats a decent price.

Cheers for the replies chaps Gonna go back and have a quick word about price or at least see if he'll give me a stupid px price for my Corsa. We'll see.

Does look really nice, I've fell for the colour now Got a blue recaro interior too, I'd make sure they shampoo it so it looks mint if I'm paying over 2k! lol

Can't remember if I read somewhere about they need suspension bushes all round on most suspension components which use them over 100k? And something about problematic alarms or something?

Are they usually good electric wise and general interior wise?

I know about coilpacks, waterpumps etc... need have a look at the history and paperwork when I go back.

Cheers for the link above.

I would be reluctant to pay over 2k personally... 2k limit I think due to age and milage. Going to have a really good poke around the bodywork in a bit whilst noones about

I work for VW,And work on these all the Time,As said before That Milage isnt that bad these Engine's are Strong and can go for a long while.
Just make sure;
The Turbo isnt smoking or making Funny noises Etc
The rear axles Bushes are Shite so make sure there Ok
Also the Bump Stops always Split so check them
Air Mass Meters can Fcuk up

Overall they are Good Cars though. If its been/you look after it it will be Ok.

Very Nice Colour and quite Rare.

I think in the long run I'd swap to a ko3s, full exhaust turbo back then remap it... 220 bhp would be brill, I'd be well happy with that lol

Cheers for all the advice so far guys will note it down to check stuff over when I go again.
