Basically they quoted a guy on club gti £400 for an AUQ 180bhp 20v turbo from a leon cupra with 40,000 02J box, loom and all ancilleries seems cheap and well dodgey

Then i got a quote for a x16xe ecotec engine 28000 £200 posted

I asked if I could collect the engine myself hear it running and pay cash and they said no due to health and safety, and said they only accept card details or bank transfers as payment

scamme maybe??? ...

Any ideas?

You have already asked to hear the engine running and they have said "no"

Now they are saying only accept card details or bank transfers.

Then all the engines are cheap.

Now using a small amount of common sense I came to the conclusion that they are dodgy and would steer clear.

There based in the blackburn and the engine was at there depo in manchester so they said!!!
