was just wondering what aftermarket air filters people have and how they have them fitted ie with an extension so its further into the arch or how uv got air feeds going to it? corsas only please

just got a pipercross before, havent got round to fitting it yet as couldnt gt the clips off the old one , will up pics tomorrow if i can sort it

Ideally thats what i want, just waiting on a 1.4/1.6 sport ariving in the local scrapies, but not into paying 70 odd for a k & n panel filter

but it is 99% against heat soak, uses standard fittings, can be drilled / de restricted and what not and looks a lot nicer / less chavvy, plus more secure in teerms of lifetime, price, damage etc

i swear they where only £50, thats how much it is for a k&n panel filter in my 12v.

yea u have to buy a special cleaning kit, soap thing and an oil (instruction included IIRC tenner off the gaybay)

Yea i'm cleaning mine tomorrow (service time woop woop ) had to buy some more dirt retentive sutff and cleaner from halfrauds

^^^ got a cover on hasnt it? can imagine it soaks a lot of heat in, yopou could get a piece of metal, bend it 90* and use it to cover the top / engine side of the filter

i recently seen an astra with some sort of enclosure for the cone filter that looked like it would block heat getting to it, anyone know if anything like that is available to buy?
