Brother had one for a few years, synchro mesh/gearbox in general is a bit of a weak point, plenty of money to put a new one in aswell due to sourcing a re-conditioned one.

Other than that, they drink oil but are excellent cars.

Looks like a nice tidy example that one

Tom has beaten me to it but yeah, gearboxes are common failures and they use oil.

On a positive note, i remember one blitzing past me on full chat and i've loved them ever since.

Awesome cars.

I wouldn't mind one as my next car to replace the ST25, its the age/mileages that generally puts me off

In a way yes, but also a good thing. For example if the box has done 100k + I doubt it will have syncro problems if there not already showing..

Will make sure box feels fine and by drinking oil, is that just a general thing with them or is it wear?

It seems that all high revving Honda's like to sip the stuff regularly. Just keep it topped up and it'll never be an issue!

good cars, check for bolster wear on the recaros and yeah honda use a bit of oil from time to time but revving to 8500rpm or whatever they are its kind of expected. check for rust round the rear arches also, oldish hondas and rust come hand in hand

JUst back from picking it up.. Well chuffed with it, no noises or crunches from the box and you can hardly hear it ticking over.

Feels quick for its size aswell.. Just need to clean it up properly and I'll be happy..
