They are still allowed to race and score points - however if more lies and deceit is found to be had by McClaren then the 3 race ban will come into effect - thats how i read it anyway.

like a suspended prison sentence i guess you don't go to prison but make one wrong move and you go to prison for your full sentence

they are not acctually banned...

Which is fair enough.

The incident was not the issue, it never was, it was the lying by the team that has caused the problem.

I think its fair, it makes sure McLaren can't step over any lines, but retains the fact that we're in a world championship, and to actually put a straight ban on the world champion would cause issues.

Suspended sentace, Witmarsh must be creaming his pants.

Im just glad all the b0ll0x is over and the drivers can get back to what they actually do, DRIVE, not banter off track.

what I think would be funny is if mclaren get pace at end of the season... are leading the championship and then get the ban!!!

The FIA are still fucking idiots.

The charge was bringing the sport into disrepute, which to a degree is fair enough.

What about Mosely being found out dressing up as a nazi getting a whipping though......did that not have a huge effect on the sport too?

Rule for one and a rule for another tbh.
