But it's costing me about £1.20 a litre for V-Power 100 RON at the moment.

I loved it when you go to a fuel station in germany and there are about 6 pumps to choose from

By far the best thing are the pump locks. Pull, lock, wait, tank's full.
Handy with a 76 litre one.

Because any petrol in the 80's was too good to be true.
I love watching van drivers wedge their fuel caps into the pumps

I've got into the habit of using the HGV pump at Kirsty's local shell, 0-35 litres in a few seconds

It's fucking tosh.
Ok, fuel duty has gone up 2p but that 13p in two months is disgusting. I haven't heard oil prices have risen.
I know who to blame, but I won't.

Pow and fuel thread surely not
When the price of oil fell last time they reduced the amount of barrells produced to increase demand pretty sickening when you look at the profit made on oil as it is.

The cost to the fuel companies and transport getting it to the pumps etc is actually higher than you think.
The bulk of profit is made at the primary stage and by the government in taxes
