get components, sound so much better for not much more money.
i've had type R alpines and they were superb.
fusion 5.25 inch jona lomu series are immense speakers too!!
cant beat JBL for value for money IMO

anyone know what the max depth is for 17cm speakers.
i seen these alpine type g speakers and the woofer depth is 6.1cm so just anted to make sure it wont catch anything when fitted.
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-spg17c2-p-7251.html
of will the 13cm ones be better?

i dont think they still sell them but i had 165mm phoenix gold comps in my corsa and they sounded absolutely amazing. using autoleads adapters they fit fine and they were pretty deep. with the corsa speaker being so low i'd definately recomend some components rathe than coaxial
