I'm needing a car at the moment as I sold my Frontera without meaning to, basically put it on Pistonheads for silly money and sold it within a day..

My mate has a 325 Sport for sale at the moment that is mechanically spot on, poly-bushed, lsd, new brakes, plenty MOT etc.

The downside is that it is rotten, wings, front panel, boot lid, back arches are all pretty rusty. I could have it off him for £1200 and have a LOT of fun in it, just not sure whether its worth my while for a car that is never going to be clean unless its re-shelled.. It passes mot's no problem as none of the rust is structural and the car is very good mechanically.

Opinions?

but if it's rotten and needs work...would you feel safe. I wouldnt want to push a car that i knew was rusted bad.

Underneaths solid, its purely cosmetic.. His cousin owned it for 9 years and hes had it for the last year. Its 100% safe and flys through mot's every year but it just looks rough.

If I got it I would have it purely to have a bit of fun in, but just cant bring myself to buy a car I would never want to wash in fear of a wing falling off...

If its just cosmetic & your happy to plough a bit of cash into to get it sorted out then go for it.

You obviously know the history & its a mint type of car to drive. I liked mine the short time I had it.

If you dont plan to get it sorted out then id give it a miss, it will just become a pain to own!!
