Well i thought people on here may be interested in seeing this conversion.
A very good friend of mine asked weather i would be able to do a bike engine conversion on his 04 GasGas450 as he wanted more power an saw some on the work i have done on cars and some of the fab work i have done in the past aswell as having a RAM170 quad with a CCM644 supermoto bike engine.
After along time as work stopped for ages as my friend wanted other work doing on other cars we have finished it.
The bike engine we have is a 04 triumph daytona 650cc which gives out around 112bhp and with a quad weight nothing it should give a very high power to weight ratio.
All finished now only need to weld a bar on the back of the gearlinkage as its bending alittle after along ride.
The Quad is fast Anyone who says they need a 1000cc engine in a quad hasent driven one as this just spins and spins lmao
Planning on taking the quad to PVShow and running on the 1/4mile agaist the Van for a laught see what times it can do.
Hope you all like it

A mate of mine has a quad with a 600cc Bandit engine in it and he says its a rocket.Think the quad may be a Banshee. Not 100%sure but that rings a bell.
Hes got an old Gixxer 750 which hes taking the engine for the quad.
It isnt road legal but he takes it on the road for a laugh.Mostly uses it on the beach tho.

wot are they like round corners these quads?
i followed one last week round here!!!
was pretty quick on straight then soon as he got to corner he almost was coming to a stand still to get round! was quite funny, lol

they are lethal in the corners because the centre of gravity is high and the track is narrow
fun when they go on 2 wheels though

a proper rider will drift the corners, imo the only way to get round with any sort of speed...........mighty fun in the wet.

Yeh they are very hard to corner, you really need to lean off the bike into the corner your taking, abit like a bike.

we had a farm quad back in the day and that was fun on 2 wheels or when the tires got worn it became a drifting quad, lol
