My car had it MOT today and passsed with no problems except emmisions, basically the cat is almost dead.

This has now given me the excuse to get a Janspeed 4-2-1 fannymould.
Getting this will mean using an X16XE cat (car is a C16XE).

So do I get a new X16XE cat or do I get a X16XE sports cat.
Normal cat is £100, sports cat is £165.

Are there any pro's and con's as to which to get?
Which one wuld be better?

Discuss please.
Thankyou.

A normal cat and a secondhand decat would be the same price as a sports cat.

I could use that method, just have to remember to fit the new cat come MOT time next year.

I had a knocked out cat for on-road purposes because police around my area are bad for stopping cars and checking exhausts.

Around here (sutton auto factors, dont know if their is any similar your way), think you pay £70 for a cat, but if you hand in your old knackerd one, you get £20 or £30 off, and you dont have to pay the levy.
