rite its a c20xe bored out 0.50 with kent cams with the vernier pullys ported and polished inlet with a 2.5 inch exhaust system and its chipped and it will be going in for a rolling road tune next week any one with a rough idea

Mine was the same spec apart from the cams and pulleys, and made 156bhp before being chipped. So i'd say around 170bhp?

if i was to put it on Throttle Bodies bigger manifold and a remap would you say it would be hitting the 200 mark

Talk to Jamsport about throttle bodies. Speak to either Broster, or Robin on here.

I would also guess no more than 170 but with throttle bodies and a remap very easy 200 maybe a bit more.

DTA system would be better but you can remap an XE Ecu

Carbs are cheaper and will also see 200bhp with that setup. the 2 grand you save could go towrads a lsd to get the power down


I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

its one of the simplest to map there is. if you have the twiddly knob box, your laughing. takes way less than other ecu's.
