What a knob booking him for it.

Like the way the ref seems to be searching in his pocket for the yellow then realises it's in his hand

You know, it makes me sad to see Gazza now. He was my hero, anyone my age and remembers watching the 1990 World Cup as an 8 year old boy, just getting started playing football seriously, he was just awe inspiring, we will never have a player of his natural ability ever again.

This video is brilliant

Awesome ability, he wasn't the fastest but his balance just seemed to take him past players. Just looking at a few video's of his dribbling and it was amazing. Easily the most naturally talented English player I've ever seen, shame that to all those who didn't see him at his best he is just another down and out drunk.

It makes you think, if he had joined United, would he have ended up the way he has? It is a shame that such a wonderful wonderful talent has so many demons.

A lot of people say otherwise but I think Fergie would have controlled him.

If he'd joined Utd, obviously he wouldn't of made that tackle against Forest, they seriously hurt his career imo

Nobody knows when the addiction started, different people have different impacts on certain individuals, many addicts have quit their addictions.

SAF might have given him a better life, in terms of having someone to look upto and the disciplinarian of which SAF is.
Terry Venables was always a good tactical manager but could never really control a madhead like Gazza, plus Gazza was always on the move, Italy, Japan, China, back to UK where it didn't last long, that surely had an affect.

The knee injury also must have damaged him mentally because when you live for football, there is nothing worse than constant knee op's and rehab.

So in answer to the question Eck, yes I think if you look deep into Gazza's personality and where he went from his injury, and the way SAF is with wild personalities, I definately think Gazza would've never turned to drink, drugs etc... because he would've been in a squad which took him to places he'd never be, in terms of competitions and trophies.

Just saying he still looks, sounds, even walks like a wreck. Anyone else see him fall down the steps on Soccer AM when he left the studio?

Oh so the addiction is like cancer, it's dormant and suddenly appears? You need to behave yourself.
