So, my head gasket it fooked and in the garage getting repaired.

But im just thinking, whilst the engine is appart, is there anything i could get done to get more power out of it?

Its a 1.6 sport. Just wondering if there is anything, and not for stupid £, as i might aswell get it done whilst its in there!

Whilst it's apart you're probably best to get things like ARP head stud bolts. So that it will be safer to get more power from things like cams/inlet etc!

ported/ polished heads are not cheap.
Best thing to do really is clean it up and maybe put new valve oil seals in etc.

Some bad advice in here. Anyone suggesting headbolts as a power upgrade is an idiot!

Impossible to say without a budget but money on head bolts for a standard engine is dead money. Head being off is the obvious source of work but the money involved isn't justifiable for someone that pays a garage to do work!

Where in the Grove were you?
