going to look at a 1.2 16v tommorrow, 'supposed' to be a real minter, was wondering if anyone new of any engine mods for these.. seen on once with rolling road of 97bhp didnt list how he got it...

any help much appreciated?

Engine Mod = Rip out the 1.2 and put in a XE / LET in = Job done

haha was wondering how long til i got this.. tbh not insurance friendly and dont want to start welding etc.. as there is only 23000 miles on the car..

truly would love 2.0 power in a bean tin though..

manifold and exhaust system i supose, he probly had tb's to get 97bhp out of one though

Any pics of the engine? I remember the 8v on webers/throttle bodies...looked pretty cool lol

archies was bog standard with some dodgy tesco oil in it lol, no idea how it made that power. but it did, I was there and the rollers were pretty accurate all day give or take a couple bhp. i.e. trg type r was 4bhp down on std power, 2 clio 197's full of octane booster made 200 bhp.

Mines has no modifications, except the head has been skimmed quite a lot as i cooked it bigtime about a year back, runs on tesco 20-50 as well lol.
made 93.7bhp.

Blanked my EGR & Fitted a panel filter since, didnt expect it to be up on power it goes which is all i care about
