will hammerite go funny on my calipers? im finding it hard to find a colour to match my car other than above

I used regular smooth silver hammerite on my callipers and it was fine. They got worked hard a a few times as well

It's all I use on mine - have used it with success several times.
Red on my C calipers lasted a good 18 months before it had faded slightly - didn't crack, peel etc at all though.

Just make sure they are nice and clean before you paint them

Just attack them with a wire brush, then apply a couple of coats of hammerite. The standard gold stuff mixed with a bit of silver should be fine and ok ish match to your car I'd have thought.

Bets thing is to buy a caliper seal kit fromm bigg-red and use a blow torch to get rid of all the paint and oil first. Then wire brush the outside being careful not to score any seal areas. degrease it, mask it, paint it and then fit new seals and they will be like new for under £35
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
