hi im looking at getting a vauxhall astra wanting one around the age of 9798 kinda of area for around 8-£900 which models are the 1.6 16 valve engines? and im wanting a 3 door one and is there any common problems with these? also what group insurance are they any help be great thanks lee

8 valve engine will be cheaper to maintain and run, bottom arms and anti roll bar link rods go but cheap to replace,also cv joints,make sure you have the cambelt kit done every 40k/4 years they are quite shit for snapping belts but if done on time should be ok

tidy cheers mate is there much diffrence power wise between the 8 and 16 v engines is the 16v the ecotech? cheers
