Should say:
The painkillers will make you drowsy and you wont be able to stay awake for a boring constant activity like driving, no matter how hard you try
The trapped nerve in your back will probably mean you cant look both ways as you should do when exiting junctions etc, plus it may do extra damage
The sprained arms and *wrists* will mean you are not in constant complete control of your steering wheel, and thus putting extra unneeded pressure on these joints will mean they take longer to heal / dont heal at all / get made worse

yea see your point just have to put up with it and not drive till it heals as like you say will take longer to heal and its very painfull as it is so il leave the car in the garage and get lifts every where if needs be
cheers

I'd guess at being told your not medically fit to drive would end up with the same punishment as having no license if you had a crash.
Ever thought your being told not to drive for a good reason

I've just been given the all clear to drive again from the hospital after breaking my foot pal and been through same legal discrepencies.
From a law point of view, you would not be insured in the event of an accident.
Also, if you've been given advice not to work due to your injuries and you go into work and have/cause an accident as a result ofthem, you'd be liable and your employers liability insurance would not cover you.
Hope it helps pal and hope your injuries heal soon, know what its like having your car there and not being able to drive it
