The four buttons up by the hazard button.

I've searched the internets audi forums but not really getting anywhere

I know a few people on here have s3's and golfs so must be similar and Jr working for audi but are they just to fill the dash in or can you get them to do something? Ideally i want to have a cup holder in its place?

They are dash blanks should be able to pop them out but i doubt there is any wiring behind them, did the audi's have cup holders there?

Think the far left and far right are usually where the heated seat buttons go.

They are just blanking buttons in place of working buttons that may be for heated seats etc

From Left to Right

Heated seat passenger, Rear window de-mist, ESP, Heated seat driver.

The facelift dash 2001> had the cup holder. Only one though.

Facelift

Pre-facelift (no ESP though)

No cupholders in the pre-facelift A3/S3

I just want to own a car with a decent cupholder, its not much to ask

It wont fit!

And be careful taking a blank off they dont just 'pop' out, you will damage the fascia or blank if you use a screwdriver as they are clipped-in very well.

Also note that the Seat cupholder is square on one edge and rounded on the other, the recess for the A3/S3 dash is rounded both sides.
