I changed from a 12v to the sport paid an extra 200 to change which took it up to about 1400

At 19 first car was an XR2i, paid 1100 tpft on it.
2nd car at 19 also was a corsa gsi and that was just shy of £1200 tpft. Both with a firm called Quinn direct.
but to put in perspective, a 1.1 saxo or 1.2 corsa merit were both £950 tpft so it made sense to get a better car and pay a little extra on insurance than spend more than the difference in premium tarting up a shitter.

I had a GSi when I was 17, was insured in my old mans name though for iirc around £500.
That probably doesnt help much though!

Try Lloyds TSB I won't bother saying how much I paid for mine as it's 12v, but I paid for fully comp what most other companies were asking for for TPFT.
Numberwang!
